If you haven’t seen the CPM Global Assurance newsletter, published monthly by the Contingency Planning and Management Group, a business continuity trade group. According to the group, the newsletter:
“… addresses the strategic integration of business continuity, security, emergency management, risk management, compliance and auditing to ensure continuity of operations in business and government — all within the context of good corporate governance. ” (from the current issue’s masthead)
This issue (available as a pdf dowload here ) features three articles:
– Midwest Floods Highlight Knowledge Gaps
- Improving Organizational Communication During Crises
- The Human Factor: The Case for Critical Incident Training
Additionally, each newsletter provides short but informative news pieces on disasters in the U.S. and around the world. Because they are a trade group, there is an extensive “Products” article, but it is easily distinguishable from the rest of the issue.
If you are interested in business continuity during a crisis, this is a highly browsable publication worth the subscription price (free). Know that it comes from a group funded by the industry it is covering, and take the content with appropriate grains of salt. I find it an easy way to improve my knowledge of the field.
